Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 10.71 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 5.26 crore), Godha Cabcon & Insul(number of shares traded: 3.59 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.44 crore), IFCI(number of shares traded: 2.91 crore), InterGlobe(number of shares traded: 2.65 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.00 crore), Eternal(number of shares traded: 1.97 crore), Apollo Micro Systems(number of shares traded: 1.84 crore) and Tata Teleservices(number of shares traded: 1.24 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:25AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 234.75 points down at 24766.4, while BSE Sensex was down 827.29 points at 81349.16 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.62 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.34 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.05 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.22 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.44 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
