Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

Synopsis

The NSE Nifty index was trading 59.91 points down at 24766.3

Brokers trade at computer terminals at stock brokerage firm in Mumbai — Investors should therefore use dips towards 15,200-15,400 to their advantage to accumulate quality largecaps and midcaps.

NEW DELHI: ITC(Rs. 16685.63 crore), LIC(Rs. 1131.55 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 610.25 crore), Bharat Dynamics(Rs. 602.03 crore), Jio Financial Services(Rs. 543.78 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 491.72 crore), BSE(Rs. 474.28 crore), CDSL(Rs. 448.60 crore), GRSE(Rs. 370.18 crore) and Hind Copper(Rs. 317.50 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 59.91 points down at 24766.3, while BSE Sensex was down 213.99 points at 81337.64 as of 10:09AM(IST)on May 28.

In the Nifty index, Jio Financial Services Ltd.(up 0.74 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.64 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.64 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 0.39 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, ITC Ltd.(down 2.83 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) were among the top losers.
