    The Supreme Court has asked 11 states, including Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand, to respond to a plea alleging they have not set up RTI portals as mandated by a 2023 judgment. The court noted that even existing portals do not meet accessibility standards and issued notices returnable on October 21.
