The move promises transparent billing, insurance coverage, and greater accessibility to Ayush interventions, fostering evidence-based healthcare.

    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has mandated the establishment of integrated AYUSH colleges in every division, incorporating Ayurveda, Unani, and Homoeopathy on single campuses. He emphasized expanding AYUSH systems, mandating Naturopathy and Yoga Centres in institutions, and filling sanctioned posts promptly.

    Budget: Ayush ministry allocated Rs 3,992.90 crore

    The budget allocation for the Ministry of Ayush has been increased by 14.15 per cent to Rs 3,992.90 crore for 2025-26. Funds have been designated for various autonomous bodies, including the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences and the All India Institute of Ayurveda, to support research and conservation efforts.

    Terminologies defining diseases in ayurveda, unani, siddha included in WHO index

    The inclusion of traditional medical terminologies in ICD-11 forms a link between traditional medicine and global standards, said Dr Radarico H Ofrin, WHO Representative to India. According to Dr Sameera Asma, Assistant Director-General DDI, WHO, the indexing of disease terminology related to traditional medicine in ICD-11 proves to be a milestone in building a unified global tradition, it stated.
