    Crowd management system will be deployed at 60 railway stations

    The Indian government will implement strict access controls at 60 railway stations, allowing only passengers with confirmed tickets onto platforms. This measure follows a deadly stampede at New Delhi station. Holding areas and crowd management systems will also be established to prevent overcrowding, replicating successful setups from Maha Kumbh and Chhath Puja events.

    The railway ministry has directed RITES Ltd to design permanent holding areas at five major stations, including New Delhi, to manage passenger flow and prevent overcrowding. These areas will be integrated into the Amrit Stations Redevelopment Programme. The initiative comes in response to a recent stampede at New Delhi station, and will eventually cover 60 high-footfall stations.

    Anurag Thakur flags off first train from Himachal to Ayodhya Dham

    Union Minister Anurag Thakur flagged off the 'Aastha Special Train' from Andaura to Ayodhya Dham, carrying groups of Ram devotees. The train journey provides an opportunity for the devotees to have darshan of Lord Ram Lalla. Thakur expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir and highlighted the increased feeling of communal harmony and brotherhood in the country. He also mentioned Prime Minister Modi's 11-day penance ahead of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla. In December, PM Modi inaugurated the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport and Ayodhya Railway Station in Ayodhya.
