Users on X have been buzzing with speculation, interpreting this as a sign that Barron may be worried about an impending clash between his father and the CEO.

Amid this, an old hilarious video of Trump's youngest son Barron Trump and Elon Musk from the President's inauguration ceremony has surfaced online with many people on X believing that he knew the Musk-Trump partnership wasn't built to last. X has been going wild since Donald and Musk's bromance breakup reached a fever pitch, and one clip of Barron looking unimpressed by Musk has been making the rounds.

    Barron-Musk old clip surfaces

The viral clip shows Elon Musk and Barron Trump standing next to each other at the inauguration. Musk is goofing off, laughing, smiling, and giving thumbs up. Barron's energy is quite the opposite; he looks serious, tense, and even a bit irritated. Folks on X have been going wild, suggesting that this indicated Barron's concern about the imminent feud between his dad and the CEO.

Spectators were left tickled by the difference in energy levels on display by 18-year-old Barron versus Musk, 53. It is the difference in their energy that piqued people’s interest.

Despite being several decades older than the NYU student, Elon Musk was seen clapping and cheering enthusiastically from the audience. In contrast, Barron maintained a more composed and refined demeanor, his restrained reaction highlighting Musk’s exuberance.

Observers noted what seemed to be a look of mild disdain on the young man's face as the X-owner began whooping and hollering. Musk’s jubilant outburst followed the president’s bold pledge, made moments after being sworn in at the US Capitol Rotunda, to plant an American flag on Mars.

At one point during the event, while addressing the gathering inside the US Capitol building in Washington, DC, President Donald Trump mentioned Mars, and Elon Musk had an epic reaction to it. The SpaceX CEO threw his hand up in excitement. He was also seen grinning and cheering. In contrast, Barron Trump, standing right next to Musk, remained silent, keeping his composure. Throughout the event, similar instances were captured on camera.

How social media reacted to Trump-Barron video

“Who decided to put Elon Musk and Barron Trump beside of each other. The difference in energy is hilarious,” politician Derrick Evans wrote as he shared a video. "Elon is the energy I wish I could give but Barron is the energy I usually present in public," one person joked on X.

"It’s like in elementary school when they put the kid with a lot of energy, next to the quiet well behaved one in hopes they keep them in check," another one commented. "Their reactions would fit better in reverse," one remarked.

"Elon Musk always looks like the annoying classmate who used to throw paper airplanes from the last row," another user quipped. "Barron, on the other hand, at 18, looks like he’s about to preside over the Supreme Court in a joint session," wrote another.

Did Barron know about the Musk-Trump conflict?

The conflict between Elon Musk and Trump started after the tech billionaire, after quitting the US government, opposed Trump's announcement of a sweeping tax cut and spending bill, calling it a "disgusting abomination". The legislation would curtail subsidies that benefit Tesla, owned by Musk. It has passed the House and is currently under debate in the Senate.

Users on X have been buzzing with speculation, interpreting this as a sign that Barron may be worried about an impending clash between his father and the CEO. "Barron knew," one X-user wrote alongside the clip. "Barron saw this all playing out from the beginning like Eren Yeager," another joked, referencing the popular series.

"Attack on Titan"'s protagonist. Another echoed this, sharing the clip with the caption, "I would just like to remind everyone that Barron Trump and his facial expressions warned us about Elon Musk back at the inauguration," with a laughing emoji.

"What did Barron really know?" one X-user asked alongside the clip. "Elon and [Donald] Trump are cut from the very same mold -Thin-skinned. Not open to criticism. Top Trolls. And authorities on everything under the sun ... Barron knew this was inevitable," another noted.

Given how many people online foresaw this fallout, it wouldn’t be shocking if Barron had anticipated that Donald Trump’s relationship with Elon Musk was headed for trouble. Judging by his expression, though, he might have just found Musk irritating — in which case, he’s likely relieved that the controversial billionaire won’t be frequenting Mar-a-Lago anymore.
