In his 22nd NBA season, LeBron James is going against age and expectations. At 40, he's still putting up great numbers, and fans are amazed at what keeps him going. Not expensive supplements or big breakfasts, but discipline and a special diet are what really matter.

LeBron's way of eating is both natural and planned, from drinking green juice in the morning to only eating during certain hours. His strict schedule and intense recovery methods have helped him get through a historic 22nd season in the NBA.

LeBron James' performances this season earned him a spot on the All-NBA Second Team, and it's amazing that he's still playing well at this point in his career.

During a practice day on the Mind the Game podcast, he shared some details about his eating patterns, as per a report.

What does LeBron eat in a day?

Fans were shocked when LeBron James said he skips breakfast and doesn't eat a full meal until around 2 p.m.

"I have either a green juice or some fruit or whatever the case may be, but I don't eat a full meal until I get back home after practice," James stated. "My first meal is usually around 1:30, 2 o'clock."

Steve Nash, his co-host, questioned whether he disliked eating before practice or if that was intentional. James said it was the former and disclosed that he doesn't take any supplements that aren't natural, as quoted in a report.

How does he stay in shape at 40?

He doesn't use creatine; instead, he gets his vitamins from natural sources, smoothies, and clean food. His breakfast consists of overnight oats or a fruit smoothie. James' longevity is proof that this strategy is effective, which makes it an intriguing approach.

There was a long-standing rumor that James spent $1 million annually on his body. That was regarded as a major factor in his ability to maintain his high level of performance as he grew older. However, James clarified that he doesn't spend a lot of money on his body during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

Spending that much money annually on his body is a bit excessive, even for a billionaire like James. The 21-time All-Star does, however, go above and beyond to make sure he continues to shine each and every time he takes the court.
