According to the Vedic Panchang, Narasimha Jayanti will be observed this year on Sunday, May 11. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Narasimha, known as Narasimha Jayanti. Lord Narasimha is a special incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who manifested to protect righteousness (dharma) and help his devotees.
Narasimha Jayanti Puja Vidhi:
On the day of Narasimha Jayanti, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, and wear clean clothes. Then, light a lamp in front of an idol or image of Lord Vishnu or Lord Narasimha in the worship area at home.
Offer flowers, rice grains (akshat), Panchamrit, sandalwood paste, and tulsi leaves to the Lord. After this, recite the Vishnu Sahasranama with devotion.
Then chant the sacred mantra “Om Nrisimhaaya Namah” 108 times. Observing a fast and worshipping the Lord with sincere devotion on this day fulfills desires and provides protection from negative energies.
